Bears' Jaquan Brisker calls kicks from Patriots' Mac Jones 'intentional'

Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker thinks New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones meant to kick him during Monday's game between the clubs.

"Looking back, when he first slid, he had tried to trip me, so I feel like the second time was intentional," Brisker explained during an appearance on the "Bernstein & Holmes Show" that airs on 670 The Score Chicago, as shared by Jenna Lemoncelli of the New York Post. "After looking back at the film, it looked intentional.

"But after the game, he came up to me and apologized. But I’ll say, the first two times, it looked very intentional during those slides. I tried to avoid him. The way he slid, he slid with his feet on the ground first. I tried to avoid him, and he kicked his foot up. So it was very intentional to me."

Jones went viral on Monday for a pair of slides that included the signal-caller hitting the Chicago rookie below the belt:

Brisker joked the area was "a little sore" but is now "good" heading into Chicago's game at the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday. He added that Jones "said he didn’t mean to do it or something like that" shortly after the Bears thumped the Patriots 33-14 in what became a "Monday Night Football" laugher.

Jones was referred to as a "dirty" player after he appeared to twist the ankle of Carolina Panthers defensive end Brian Burns during a contest last fall. In August, Jones said he and Burns "made up at the Pro Bowl."

Jones is starting for the Patriots at the rival New York Jets this Sunday.
