As if the Chicago Bears didn't have enough on their plate heading into the 2023 season, the offensive line got shaken up. Cody Whitehair is moving back to the center position but according to him, he's more comfortable there.

Bears Offensive Line

General manager Ryan Poles put a heavy emphasis on rebuilding the Bears' offensive line this year. Of course, it's to protect Justin Fields and open up the run game.

But there are sure to be some growing pains that come with an attempted revitalization. However, moving Cody Whitehair doesn't appear to be one of them.

Whitehair said the Bears informed him that he was moving back to the center position. Having the notice, he was able to prepare accordingly and says he feels better at that spot.

After drafting Darnell Wright, a sure-fire day-one starter on the offensive line, the Bears appear to have a sense of direction. Finally!

This isn't a magical cure though. With change comes learning and the Bears have an awful lot of that still in front of them.

If the Chicago Bears can maintain health and a sound foundation on the offensive line, starting quite literally with Cody Whitehair at center, then the 2023 season can be a roaring success.
