Bears QB Justin Fields leaves Week 11 injured, replaced by Andy Dalton

The Chicago Bears were held scoreless in the first half of a Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens and saw bad turn to worse when rookie quarterback Justin Fields suffered an injury early in the third quarter.

Fields, 22, completed four of his 11 passes in the game for 79 yards, but his last play before exiting was a 6-yard run short of the sticks on third down. There wasn't much indication of an injury until Fields stepped into the medical tent on the Bears sideline following the possession. After an evaluation, Fields went into the locker room and was replaced in the game by Andy Dalton.

Fields was ruled questionable to return with a ribs injury.

The former Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys quarterback signed with the Bears in the offseason and began the year as the team's starter. After two games starting for Chicago, Dalton suffered a knee injury and was replaced in the starting lineup by Fields.

Dalton wasted no time getting the Bears back on track Sunday with back-to-back completions on his first drive. The first was a 23-yard completion to Jimmy Graham and the second was a short pass to Darnell Mooney that broke open for a 60-yard touchdown, giving the Bears a 7-6 lead.

The three-time Pro Bowler entered Week 11 at 36th all-time in both passing yards and touchdowns.
