Beer can touchdown celebration cost Bills WR Stefon Diggs big fine

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs joked on Sunday that he owed a fan $18 for grabbing a couple of beers and splashing them in the air to celebrate one of his three touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins.

It turns out that is not the only money he is going to owe somebody as a result of his tribute to Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The NFL fined Diggs $13,659 dollars for the celebration, calling it an unsportsmanlike conduct fine.

Here is a look at it.

It is not surprising that Diggs was hit with a fine for using props in his celebration. He also probably undersold how much those two beers actually cost the fan he took them from. Those were probably at least $18 each.

Diggs had a huge game in Buffalo's 48-20 win this past Sunday, catching seven passes for 120 yards and the three touchdowns. In four games this season, he has 31 catches (on 39 targets) for 399 yards and four touchdowns.

The Bills offense has been on a roll over the past three games following a disappointing season-opener against the New York Jets.
Buffalo next plays the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday morning in London.
