Bengals fans have pushed Ted Karras and The Cincy Hat project across the finish line!

The NFL announced today that Karras won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award fan voting and secured an additional $35,000 for The Village of Merici.

"Congratulations to Ted Karras of the Cincinnati Bengals for winning the 2023 Nationwide Charity Challenge," The NFL wrote. "This is the first time a Cincinnati Bengals player has won the Charity Challenge. Thanks to Nationwide, up to $35,000 will be awarded to Karras' charity partner, the Village of Merici, while Lane Johnson and Patrick Mahomes' charities of choice will receive $10,000 and $5,000, respectively, as Johnson and Mahomes finished in second and third place in this year's voting. Congratulations to all 32 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Nominees for continuing to represent the best of the NFL."

Now, this announcement is just for the charity challenge. The overall winner of the 2023 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award gets announced during NFL Honors on CBS on Thursday, Feb. 8.
