Best, worst-case first-round picks for Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens currently own the No. 30 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

It is difficult to project which players will still be available when they are on the clock, but here are the best and worst-case first-round picks for Baltimore.

Best case: Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims

The Ravens lost both of their starting guards, John Simpson (Jets) and Kevin Zeitler (Lions), in free agency and traded right tackle Morgan Moses to the Jets. That means the team will have three new starters on its offensive line in 2024.

Baltimore may turn to Daniel Faalele, a fourth-round pick in 2022, or Patrick Mekari, an undrafted free agent in 2019. If not, however, adding the 6-foot-7, 340-pound offensive tackle out of Georgia could be the move.

Mims would be a steal if he falls as he ranks as the sixth-best offensive tackle and No. 20 overall prospect on Pro Football Focus' big board. He allowed just five pressures with zero sacks in 365 total pass block snaps during his time at Georgia, per CBS Sports.

Worst case: Michigan cornerback Mike Sainristil

Sainristil sneaking into the first round would be a surprise, but it certainly feels like a possibility after he spent the past four years with head coach John Harbaugh's brother at Michigan.

General manager Eric DeCosta said the Ravens "would love to add a talented corner at some point in the draft," and that could be Sainristil.

Baltimore would be smart to add a corner after watching several key players in its secondary suffer injuries last season, but using its first-round pick on a slot corner isn't ideal, especially after re-signing nickel corner Arthur Maulet to a two-year deal this offseason.

Plus, the Ravens would still need to add another corner to play on the outside opposite three-time Pro Bowler Marlon Humphrey.

Sainristil currently ranks as the sixth-best cornerback and No. 34 overall prospect on PFF's big board after totaling 102 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, seven interceptions and 13 passes defensed the past two years.
