It is weird to see the Pittsburgh Steelers playing without Ben Roethlisberger.

This is their first season since 2004, where Roethlisberger is not under center.

Many people knew this could be a tough year for the Steelers as they transition to a rookie QB.

Sitting with a record of 2-6, the Steelers look like one of the worst offenses in the NFL.

Mitch Trubisky started the season, but the future of the team, Kenny Pickett, has started the last three games.

After an awful start to the season, former Steelers coach Bill Cowher had some words for his former team.

Offensive Struggles

While it sounds good to take the ball out of Pickett’s hands and run the ball more, the Steelers can not do it.

They are simply not good at running the football.

Their offensive line is terrible and running back, Najee Harris looks slow.

When you struggle at so many different spots like the Steelers do, there is no way to fix it.

Pittsburgh needs to address its offensive line in the offseason.

Cowher made the point that Pickett could lose his confidence, which is true.

Playing on a team and more specifically an offense that will get beat up every week is problematic.

The hope for the Steelers is that Pickett can stay upright this season and not take too many hits.

If he is indeed their franchise quarterback, he will have to learn a lot in his rookie season.

Pickett was the only QB taken in the first round of this past NFL draft.

He better be ready to take his lumps this year, because there are going to be plenty.
