Taron Johnson put together one of the best seasons of his career, and now he's being recognized for it.

The Buffalo Bills defensive back made the AP Second-Team All-Pro team, which was released on Friday. Johnson was the slot cornerback on the second team and was the only Bill selected to an All-Pro squad.

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie was the 1st-Team All-Pro slot cornerback. Bills quarterback Josh Allen received one vote for 1st-Team All-Pro quarterback. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was the 1st-Team All-Pro quarterback, while Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott made the 2nd-Team.

Johnson did it all for a Bills defense that was one of the best in football. He had a career-high 98 tackles, plus three for a loss, two quarterback hits and one sack. Johnson's 98 tackles were third-best on the team, only trailing linebacker Terrel Bernard, who had 143 and safety Jordan Poyer, who had 100.

Johnson also had eight passes defended, forced three fumbles, which was also a career-best and recovered one.

Bernard and Johnson were the only two players on the Bills' defense to start all 17 games in an injury-riddled season for the unit. Buffalo lost cornerback Tre'Davious White (achilles) and linebacker Matt Milano (leg) to season-ending injuries in back-to-back weeks. Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones missed most of the season with a pectoral injury before returning in Week 17.

Buffalo's defense was third in turnovers (30), fourth in points allowed per game (18.3) and sacks (54).

Now Johnson and the Bills defense turn their sights to the playoffs, where they'll face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium in potentially inclement weather
