The Buffalo Bills thrashed the Dallas Cowboys in one of the marquee moments of their season, but it didn't come without some losses.

Easily the most notable injury suffered on Sunday was that of defensive tackle Jordan Phillips. The 31-year-old lineman, who is in his second stint with the Bills, brought down Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, but awkwardly collided with offensive tackle Terrence Steele in the process.

It looked as if Phillips jammed his hand, and Monday's update confirmed the severity of the injury. Coach Sean McDermott announced that Phillips had undergone wrist surgery on Monday morning and is officially week-to-week. It's not yet known exactly how much time Phillips will miss, but McDermott has reportedly said that he will not play against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night.

This isn't the first time Phillips has dealt with injury this year. He began training camp on the PUP list after undergoing surgery on his rotator cuff earlier in the offseason, although he did return shortly thereafter.

Phillips has been a key contributor for the Bills this season, starting nine games while recording 2.5 sacks, two tackles for loss and five passes defended. Together, he and Ed Oliver have helped solidify the middle of the line for a strong Buffalo defense.

With Phillips likely missing time, the Bills' depth at the position will be tested. Aside from Oliver, they only have three healthy defensive tackles on the active roster. Those players include midseason pickup Linval Joseph, Tim Settle and Poona Ford, the latter of which hasn't been active in nearly two months. They could get reinforcements if DaQuan Jones is able to return from what was initially thought to be a season-ending injury, but it's not yet clear if he can.

Having won two huge games in a row, the Bills will look to take that momentum with them out west on Saturday night.
