Bills GM Brandon Beane: I don't see Stefon Diggs' contract 'being an issue'

When the Minnesota Vikings gave Stefon Diggs a five-year, $72 million contract extension in 2018, it made him one of the top 10 highest-paid receivers in the NFL. Four years later, Diggs is with the Buffalo Bills and due to make just over $27 million in the next two seasons.

That's no paltry amount, but it pales in comparison to the mammoth contracts dished out to Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill this spring.

While it'd make sense if Diggs was ready for a significant raise, Bills general manager Brandon Beane says he isn't too worried about it.

"We've got Stefon for two years, so we know that," Beane said, via Pro Football Talk. "At the right time, we'll work with his reps and see if there's something to be done that works for him. He's a winner. He's all-in on winning and, sure, everybody wants to be paid, but he wants to be on a winning team. I think he's been the best version of himself. So I don't see that being an issue."

Diggs, 28, earned back-to-back Pro Bowl nods in his first two seasons with the Bills and finished the 2021 regular season with 1,225 receiving yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns.
