Bills HC 'very concerned' about Pro Bowl WR's minicamp absence

Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs didn't report to mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, prompting concern from head coach Sean McDermott.

Media members speculated that Diggs' absence stems from his fiery exit following the team's playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in January.

Following Buffalo's 27-10 home loss to Cincinnati in the AFC divisional round, Diggs "darted" out of the team's locker room and quickly exited the stadium. The 29-year-old then spent parts of the offseason posting cryptic messages on social media, and during an interview on Uninterrupted's "The Shop," Diggs said the team's continued postseason shortcomings didn't "make sense."

Diggs didn't show up to any of the Bills' voluntary workouts this spring either.

The three-time Pro Bowler is one of the elite wideouts in the NFL, posting five straight seasons of at least 15 games played and 1,000 receiving yards and finishing four of the last five years with at least 100 receptions. Diggs has also set new career highs in receiving scores in each of the last two campaigns, scoring 10 times in 2021 and 11 times in 2022.

Without Diggs, Buffalo's wide receiver's group is thin, as Gabe Davis and Khalil Shakir are the other projected starters.
