Bills offering snow shovelers $20 an hour to clear Highmark Stadium ahead of wild-card matchup with Steelers

Are you strong? Unbothered by ungodly cold temperatures? Could you use some quick cash? Then the Buffalo Bills might have an opportunity for you.

With the Buffalo area expected to receive heavy snowfall, roughly one to two feet between Saturday night and Monday, the Bills are searching for volunteers to clear Highmark Stadium ahead of a Super Wild Card Weekend matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

While volunteering won't get you access to the game, the Bills are offering $20 an hour to would-be snow shovelers, with the promise of breaks and complimentary food in a "comfortable warm area."

Those interested must be 18 or older, with clearing beginning at 10 p.m. ET. Anyone tough enough to brave elements can pre-register here

Moving the game to a neutral site seemed like a real possibility leading up to Sunday's contest. A report suggested that the NFL had plans to play the game at Cleveland Browns Stadium if necessary, adding that officials for the team were put on alert by the league. However, the rumor proved to be just that, later debunked by an insider.

As for the game itself, the temperature at kickoff will reportedly hover around 20 degrees. Oh, and don't forget 17-27 mph wind gusts that could reach up to 48 mph, along with a 96 percent chance of snow.

Unsurprisingly, the Bills are -9.5 favorites over the heavy underdog Steelers. However, in chaotic weather, anything is possible.

Considering the circumstances, Sunday's matchup might be more entertaining than it would've been if the conditions were ideal. While it probably won't be too pleasant for the players on the field, it has the potential to be a memorable one for NFL fans hoping for a bit of playoff madness with a wintry backdrop.
