Bills QB Josh Allen has 'renewed focus' heading into 2023-24 season

Josh Allen is a great quarterback and the Buffalo Bills are lucky to have him. That doesn't mean the two-time Pro Bowler and MVP candidate feels he can rest on his laurels so far, though.

He's been perhaps the biggest piece of Buffalo becoming a contender, but the 6-foot-5, 237-pound quarterback seems to have one goal heading into the 2023-24 season.

"I so badly want to bring a Super Bowl here to Buffalo," Allen said Tuesday. "I just don't want anything to get in the way of allowing me to be the best quarterback that I can be for this team."

These comments come off the heels of head coach Sean McDermott saying that his quarterback seems to have a renewed focus. McDermott was clear to explain that the Allen Buffalo has had over the past five seasons has been good, but this new sense of focus makes him even better.

But what does that actually look like?

Per the quarterback himself, it sounds like much of it has to do with preparation.

"I think communicating to our playmakers, understanding where I want them and making sure that we're on the same page," Allen continued. "Film study, for sure. And then just diving into our playbook, knowing it inside and out."

While Allen has played at an elite level and the Bills have been a contender over the past few seasons, he has not yet been able to lead Buffalo to a Super Bowl, let alone win one.

If Allen is able to clinch an AFC championship for Buffalo this upcoming season or in the near future, it will be the first time the Bills have appeared in the big game since Super Bowl XXVIII in 1994 when they lost to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Bills infamously made the Super Bowl in four straight seasons from 1991 to 1994, but they were never able to win it all.
