Bills QB Josh Allen still haunted by coin toss vs. Chiefs

The NFL offseason is a long time if you are a player whose team did not win the Super Bowl. And for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, the offseason has meant months of being haunted by the coin toss that sealed his team's fate in last season's playoffs.

The Bills lost in overtime to the Kansas City Chiefs in what was easily one of the most exciting games of the 2021 NFL postseason. Allen was, of course, pivotal in getting the ball into the end zone with seconds left to play in regulation to tie the game up 36-36 and send the game into overtime. Unfortunately for Buffalo, Kansas City won the coin toss to start OT and Patrick Mahomes led the winning drive that sent the Chiefs to the AFC championship game.

As Allen told the "Bussin' With The Boys" podcast last week, that lost coin toss still haunts him.

"People still come up to me and talk about it. That's the game people talk about," Allen said. "To be a part of it is great, but to be on the losing end of it is not so great. It doesn't make me feel any better when someone comes up and says, 'That was the greatest game I've ever seen.' It's like, 'we lost.'"
