The Buffalo Bills have activated tight end Dawson Knox from the injured reserve list, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Knox has been sidelined with a wrist injury that he originally suffered in Week 7. Prior to going down, he had logged 15 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Mississippi, was selected by the Bills in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

He played in 15 games during his rookie campaign, catching 28 passes for 388 yards and a couple of touchdowns. The following year, Knox only appeared in 12 contests and finished with 24 grabs for 288 yards and three scores.

Knox finally had a breakout year of sorts in 2021, hauling in 49 receptions for 587 yards and nine touchdowns. Then, last year, the Brentwood, Tn. native made the Pro Bowl after snaring 48 balls for 517 yards while reaching the end zone six times.

The Bills are in desperate need of a win when they head on the road to battle the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday.

Buffalo has lost three of its last four games to fall to 6-6, which means that the club would not be in the playoffs if the season ended today.

The Bills entered 2023 with Super Bowl aspirations after making the playoffs each of the last four seasons but failing to get over the hump. They made the AFC Championship Game back during the 2020-21 campaign, but lost in the Divisional Round each of the last two years.

Buffalo’s roster was teeming with talent heading into the season and was widely expected to challenge the Chiefs for AFC supremacy, but instead, the Bills are fighting for the their playoff lives with just five games remaining during the regular season.

Perhaps getting Knox back into the fold will help.
