After hosting former second-round pick Andy Isabella for a workout on Friday, the Buffalo Bills have now signed the receiver to a one-year deal, per an announcement.

The Bills are releasing Jalen Wayne, who is the younger cousin of former Indianapolis Colts all-time receiver Reggie Wayne, in a corresponding move. Reggie is the current receivers coach in Indianapolis.

Originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals at No. 66 overall in 2019, Isabella was waived by the Cardinals last season before signing with the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad. But after four seasons in the league, he has yet to make a major impact on a roster.

In his first four seasons, Isabella has managed to haul in only 33 receptions for 447 receiving yards and three touchdowns, having only started in three of his 41 appearances.

Should Isabella impress the Bills during training camp and preseason, he would likely see a majority of his snaps in the slot. The Bills already have second-year receiver Khalil Shakir on the roster who showed flashes as a rookie last season after recording 10 catches for 161 yards and a touchdown.

But even if Isabella doesn't get tons of reps on offense, he could serve as a potential kick-return replacement for injured running back Nyheim Hines. In his career, Isabella has returned eight kicks for 166 yards.
