At the start of free agency, the Los Angeles Chargers were in a rough spot. They were near the bottom of the entire NFL in available cap space.

At one point, the team was $40 million under the cap. This number has since been reversed after the Chargers made a slew of moves. Some big moves were allowing free agents like Gerald Everett to walk, and cutting big contract players like WR Mike Williams.

After also restructuring the contracts of Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, the Chargers are now sitting near the top in available cap space.

According to Spotrac.com, the Chargers are now #4 out of 32 teams in terms of available cap space. The team now has an excess of $39.6 million to work with.

The Chargers are likely to overhaul their roster with more moves in the coming weeks, and they already made a big one by signing free-agent center Bradley Bozeman. Bozeman can immediately start at center, making the potential retirement of Corey Linsley sting a lot less.

The WR room is now thin as well after the Chargers traded Keenan Allen and cut Mike Williams. The team will need a proven veteran, and there are plenty to choose from. One name to be on the lookout for is Odell Beckham Jr.

However, with $39 million at their disposal, the Chargers could aim to land a bigger free agent. We will just have to wait and see what big moves the team will make before the draft.
