Breece Hall is the latest offensive player to receive a significant fine from the NFL, and the New York Jets running back is not happy about it.

Hall was fined $43,709 this week for lowering his head to initiate contact on a play in New York’s Week 13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Hall made helmet-to-helmet contact with Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell after the running back caught a ball out of the backfield.

After receiving the fine, Hall expressed his frustration on social media.

You can see another angle of the play below.

The $43,709 fine was the largest one handed down to any player in Week 13. It was hardly the first of its kind, however.

The NFL has made it a point of emphasis to punish offensive players for lowering their heads to initiate contact to the head area of defenders. While such plays rarely result in flags, there have been several fines handed down this season. Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was fined the same amount as Hall for a seemingly standard block he threw in Week 12.

Another player recently appealed a fine for lowering his head to initiate contact, and the fine was rescinded. Given Hall’s reaction, we can expect an appeal from his as well.
