Brett Favre is back hosting a weekly show for SiriusXM NFL Radio, and he’s already sharing some interesting information on it.

Favre’s debut show this year came on Tuesday. During the show, Favre praised his former understudy Aaron Rodgers for leading the Green Bay Packers to a comeback on Sunday night against the Chicago Bears.

Favre also revealed that Rodgers is working on a “year in the life” documentary.

According to NFL writer Jim Corbett, Favre said Rodgers visited the retired quarterback’s Mississippi home in June for a two-day sit-down interview for the documentary. Favre revealed that during the sit-down, Rodgers shared how much pressure he felt replacing the legendary QB on the Packers. It was at that time that Favre understood just how much pressure Rodgers felt to replace him, and at that point, if there was any friction/tension between them, it was pushed aside.

The Packers drafted Rodgers in 2005 with the intention of making him Favre’s successor. The entire situation became extremely messy when Favre went back on his retirement, forcing the Packers to choose between the quarterbacks. They picked the younger Rodgers over the veteran Favre. Favre played another three seasons, including the final two with the NFC North rival Vikings. In the first few years after the difficult split between Favre and the Packers, Favre understandably showed some bitterness and seemed to slight Rodgers. Over time, the relationship between all parties seemed to get much better, with Favre saying three years ago that there was no wedge between the two quarterbacks.

Now 10 years after the peak of the controversy, it seems the two most central figures have put all the tension behind them.
