Broncos' Dre'Mont Jones not surprised Urban Meyer may upset some Jaguars players

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer may want to rethink saying there's "no chance" he would accept the job opening with the USC Trojans heading into the fall months. 

A report surfaced last weekend that Meyer was already "rubbing the Jacksonville Jaguars staff and players the wrong way" due to his alleged temper and hatred for losing even in the preseason, and the Jaguars then fell to the Houston Texans 37-21 in their regular-season opener. 

Jacksonville is preparing to face the Denver Broncos this Sunday, and Broncos defensive end Dre'Mont Jones, who played under Meyer at Ohio State, was asked Thursday if he's stunned his former coach may be having some difficulties making the switch to the NFL in Jacksonville.

"Am I surprised by it? No," Jones answered, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "I just know how he is. I’m not going to go into great detail about it, but no, it doesn’t surprise me." 

Jones continued: 

"Going from college to pros is always difficult no matter what the level is, whether coaching or playing. Especially because a lot of his philosophies are college-based, and you can’t do that with 30-plus men or even 25-plus men who have been around the league and know what they’re doing now and are well established. You got to shake things up in how you coach."

Winning fixes everything, teaches a famous sports saying, and Meyer may find himself loving life with the Jaguars and silencing at least one former player by Sunday evening if his team defeats the Broncos. 

Denver started the season with a victory at the New York Giants last Sunday.
