The NFL world was turned on its head last week when Aaron Rodgers abruptly demanded that the Green Bay Packers trade him.

Obviously it was something of an open secret that Rodgers was unhappy with Packers brass, but still – nobody expected him to request his exit so forcefully and suddenly.

First one potential suitor for his services emerged from the woodwork. Then another.

Now that the dust has started to settle, however, it is becoming abundantly clear that there is one obvious favorite for Rodgers’ next team.

That favorite?

The Denver Broncos.

“The Denver Broncos continue to be the team I hear that are going to be the most interested [in Rodgers], and are going to put the most in front of the Green Bay Packers to try to make this trade go down,” Diana Russini reported on ESPN’s Get Up today.

Russini then offered some insight on how the Packers’ front office feels about all this.

“The sentiment there and the feeling I get is deflated. They’re absolutely deflated at this point,” she said.

“We know they’ve been trying to fix this and trying to mend it, but they know this is up to a very strong, stubborn, smart quarterback named Aaron Rodgers, who is gonna do what Aaron Rodgers wants to do.”

According to DraftKings, if Rodgers gets dealt, Denver is far and away his likeliest landing spot.

Will the Broncos ultimately be able to pull something off for Rodgers before the start of the new season? Time will tell.
