Broncos fear RB Javonte Williams suffered 'serious' knee injury in loss to Raiders
The Denver Broncos fell to the previously win-less Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, 32-23. However, they may have lost more than just the game.
Running back Javonte Williams suffered a right knee injury on the first play of the second half and had to be carted off the field.
While an MRI on Monday will reveal the full extent of Williams' injury, the initial report doesn't sound promising.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rappoport, the Broncos fear Williams' knee injury is "serious" and added that there's "not a lot of optimism" about its severity.
Williams finished with 28 yards off 10 carries before exiting the game.
The 22-year-old has struggled to get going this season. Through four weeks, Williams has rushed for 204 yards off 47 attempts, averaging just 4.3 yards per carry.
