Broncos' OT Garett Bolles: Team 'in the AFC West will win the Super Bowl'

Broncos left tackle Garett Bolles believes an AFC West team will win the Super Bowl.

“It’s going to be a bloodbath," Bolles told The Ringer’s Lindsay Jones about the division race. "I can tell you this, one of these teams in the AFC West will win the Super Bowl because of the caliber of teams we have here.”

The division includes stud quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs), Justin Herbert (Chargers) and Derek Carr (Raiders).

For several years, the Broncos have lacked an elite quarterback. Now they may have one in Russell Wilson, whom they hope will snap the team's six-year playoff drought. ESPN's QB council said he remains elite.

Wilson faces one of the bigger challenges in his career. The Broncos finished last in the AFC West the past two seasons, winning only two division games. They’ve lost 13 straight games to the Chiefs, the division's top team the past six years.

The division is even stronger this season with the addition of outside linebacker Khalil Mack (Chargers) and wide receiver Davante Adams (Raiders).

Regarding the addition of players in the division, Broncos general manager George Paton told Jones: “It felt like an arms race.”

The Broncos' defense was elite last season, finishing third best in the NFL. The offense was not, finishing 19th.

The offense includes promising, young players, including Pro Bowl wide receiver Courtland Sutton, who's only 26. Sutton has played with seven different quarterbacks. Bolles believes Wilson can end dysfunction at this position.

“I love Russ,” Bolles told  USA Today “It’s going to be fun to see what we can do this season.”
