Broncos receive good news on injured WR Jerry Jeudy, CB Patrick Surtain II

Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and cornerback Pat Surtain II suffered injuries in a Week 2 win over the Texans, but both Broncos won't miss significant time. Each is considered "day-to-day," per NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

The Broncos were already thin in the secondary. Second-Team All-Pro safety Justin Simmons was on injured reserve with a thigh injury and will miss at least four games.

The wide receiving corps also has depth issues, with Tim Patrick out for the season with a torn right ACL.

Jeudy and Surtain II are integral players for the Broncos. Surtain II led the team in pass deflections (14) and nabbed four interceptions last season. He also made the All-Rookie Team.

Jeudy got off to a fast start in Week 1, scoring on a 67-yard touchdown pass against the Seahawks — one of only two TD passes for first-year Broncos QB Russell Wilson.

The Broncos also need a healthy Surtain II, who will probably match up against All-Pro receiver Deebo Samuel of the Niners in Week 3.
