Browns All-Pro OT Jack Conklin out for season with torn patellar tendon

The offense of the Cleveland Browns failed to produce positive results throughout Sunday night's frustrating 16-10 defeat at the Baltimore Ravens. That unit suffered a different type of loss early into that contest.

ESPN's Adam Schefter (h/t Jake Trotter) previously reported the Browns feared starting right tackle Jack Conklin went down with a torn patellar tendon in his right knee in the first quarter of Sunday's matchup, and Schefter has since confirmed Conklin will miss at least the remainder of the season with that exact setback.

Conklin generated concern when he initially attempted to walk off the field on his own power before his knee seemingly gave out.

It's a brutal blow for the two-time First-Team All-Pro. He was just recently designated to return from injured reserve after he dislocated his elbow in the Week 8 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers back on Halloween. That issue cost him three contests.

Cleveland is on its bye and may have to rely on Blake Hance as Conklin's replacement for the Dec. 12 home game against the Ravens. Hance had a rough outing in Baltimore on Sunday night.

Hance filled in for Conklin earlier this fall.
