The Cleveland Browns released the first version of their unofficial depth chart to begin the 2023 season. The key word to remember with these when they come out on Tuesday’s each week is unofficial.

There are a few clues within it for what the team may do as well as a major head scratcher. The latter of which is them having Jordan Elliott listed as a starting defensive tackle next to Dalvin Tomlinson. Shelby Harris is listed as the backup behind Elliott along with Maurice Hurst. I’d be surprised if it isn’t Harris seeing the first snap as well as more overall during the entirety of the game.

In another interesting nugget, the team listed running back Jerome Ford as the kick returner and wide receiver Donovan People’s-Jones as the punt returner. This is one area that we haven’t gained clarity on heading into Sunday. It will be interesting to see if Cleveland’s coaching staff confirms this during the week in media sessions.

One final item to note is a couple of number changes. It appears that Shelby Harris will now be wearing number 93 a number he has worn in his previous stops. Rookie wide receiver Cedric Tillman will be switching from 89 to number 19.
