Browns beat Steelers on 'Thursday Night Football', 29-17

Kudos to the Pittsburgh Steelers, because they never gave up. Ultimately, though, the Cleveland Browns were the better team and they used their home-field advantage to help them get a 29-17 win over their AFC North rivals.

It was a 'Thursday Night Football' game, meaning that unless you had Amazon you'd have a hard time watching it.

That's the new reality of the NFL in 2022 and unfortunately, it means that those who haven't forked out for Amazon missed out on a great game. The game started with new Cleveland Cavalier Donovan Mitchell smashing a guitar for the city that hosts the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The night ended with a win from the Browns that moved them to 2-1 on the season. It went down to the fourth quarter when it was 23-17 with 1:48 to go after a Pittsburgh field goal. Ultimately, though, the Browns were able to hold on and prevail thanks to Denzel Ward falling on the ball in the end zone after Pittsburgh's last-second attempt to hook and lateral all the way down the field to a win.

Jacoby Brissett, playing instead of Deshaun Watson as he waits out his suspension, completed 21-of-31 passes for 220 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions against the Steelers. Cleveland running back Nick Chubb rushed 23 times for 113 yards and a touchdown.

Mitch Trubisky went 20-of-32 passing for the Steelers for 207 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. He did run in a touchdown in the second quarter, as did running back Najee Harris, who finished with 15 carries for 56 yards and the aforementioned score.
