Browns CB issues warning to rest of NFL

Browns training camp is underway and one of the team's newest weapons has been catching the attention of his teammates. So much so that CB Greg Newsome II made a point to warn the rest of the league.

"We're excited. I'm just gonna tell the NFL better watch out for [Elijah Moore]. He's one of the best I've honestly been against and I'm not just saying it because he's on my team," Newsome II told reporters. "I'm definitely super excited for him."

Cleveland traded its 2023 second-round pick (No. 42) to the Jets for Moore in March. The 23-year-old has just 80 catches for 984 yards and six touchdowns through his first two seasons but has shown flashes of why he was selected 34th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Moore has proven he has exceptional hands and an ability to make people miss after the catch with just two drops and 16 broken tackles over the past two years.

Moore also played with a carousel of quarterbacks in New York. From 2021-22, he was catching passes from Zach Wilson, Mike White, Joe Flacco and Josh Johnson — all of whom are currently backups or free agents.

Moore is certainly set up for success in 2023 now with a clear QB1 in Deshaun Watson. Entering the third year of his rookie contract, which is when most players tend to make their biggest leaps, it feels like it's now or never for Moore.
