A decade from now, it is hard to picture where the Cleveland Browns will be playing their football games.

On Monday, owner Jimmy Haslam confirmed that they are close to acquiring 176 acres in Brook Park just outside of Cleveland, per multiple reports. The location is an option for a new stadium to be built if the Browns opt to go that direction.

The location there would feature a dome and make the game of football a lot easier to play in no dome.

Another option that sits there for the Browns right now is a full renovation of the current stadium on the lakefront. Cleveland wants to receive funding from the local government to help with renovating the stadium. A price has been put at $1 billion for the renovations at least.

The current stadium recently went from First Energy Stadium to Cleveland Browns Stadium because there have been no naming rights sold to it since the last deal ended.

Cleveland will be playing at their current stadium in its current status for the next few years and any construction or a new stadium wouldn’t start until closer to 2030. One thing that fans don’t have to worry about is the team being taken from Cleveland. The Haslams remain saying that the Browns will remain in Cleveland for good.
