Browns defender named one of NFL offseason's 'biggest winners'

The Browns had another offseason to remember, and one of their defenders may be one of the biggest benefactors across the league.

Defensive end Myles Garrett was named one of the five "biggest winners" of the 2023 NFL offseason.

"Garrett faced more double-teams last year than any other defensive end," Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski writes. "Garrett should have the best defensive line around him since he entered the league."

Cleveland bolstered its D-line this offseason by trading for DE Za'Darius Smith, signing DT Dalvin Tomlinson and DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo and drafting DT Siaki Ika.

It's no secret Garrett is one of the best defensive players in the NFL as he is coming off back-to-back 16-sack seasons. However, for the longest time, Garrett was the only player that was truly feared on Cleveland's defense.

In 2022, no player outside of Garrett eclipsed three sacks. That shouldn't be the case this year with the added reinforcements.

Garrett may just have the best year of his career as offenses will have more to worry about than just him, likely seeing fewer double teams and giving him and others more opportunities to create splash plays.

The 27-year-old certainly has the defense around him to have a historical year, but Browns fans are only worried about one thing following the team's 7-10 season in 2022: getting in the win column.

After an offseason to remember, it may lead to a season to remember for Cleveland in 2023.
