Browns have winning record for first time in nearly six years

The Cleveland Browns finally have a winning record again, and they achieved it with Baker Mayfield at quarterback.

With a 34-20 victory over the Washington Football Team, the Browns moved to 2-1, giving them a record above .500 for the first time in six nearly years.

Cleveland went 90 consecutive weeks without a winning record, which was the longest active streak in the NFL, according to ESPN's Jake Trotter. The Browns were last above the .500 mark going into Week 15 of the 2014 season, when they were 7-6.

The Browns trailed Washington 20-17 in the fourth quarter until Mayfield found Harrison Bryant for a go-ahead three-yard touchdown pass with under 12 minutes to play. Cleveland interception Dwayne Haskins on the following drive, then Nick Chubb put the Browns in good position with a 20-yard touchdown run.

The New York Giants now hold the longest streak without a winning record at 55 weeks.
