Last week, Myles Garrett shared that he was punched by a “fan” after getting out of his vehicle to take a picture with the man.

Garrett shared that, after punching him, the man ran away from him.

Smart move.

Speaking about this incident on Monday, Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens had a funny retort, saying, “I was glad the guy ran,” per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

The person who is accused of punching Garrett has been identified as 24-year-old Richard Perez of Strongsville, Ohio, per the police report obtained by ESPN.

That’s a really good point, to be honest. There’s a chance that, if Perez had not ran away, he could have been the target of some retribution from Garrett. And that may not have ended well for him, or his face.
