Browns hiring former Eagles VP of Football Operations Catherine Raiche

According to USA Today's Jori Epstein, the Cleveland Browns are hiring Catherine Raiche for a front-office position.

While Raiche has no official title yet, her responsibilities with the Browns are described as "assistant GM-like."

Raiche, 33, has been with the Philadelphia Eagles since 2019, first holding the role of football operations coordinator. In 2021, Raiche received a promotion to VP of football operations. At the time, Riache was the second-highest-ranking female involved in football personnel in NFL history.

Beginning her career in football back in 2015 with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, Raiche quickly moved up the ranks. Starting as an intern, Raiche was promoted to the coordinator of football administration before becoming the first female to be named assistant general manager in CFL history.

After a season with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts as director of football administration, Raiche took a front-office job with the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL in 2019. Later that year, she'd join the Eagles until taking a position with the Browns this offseason.

Raiche interviewed for the Minnesota Vikings' general manager position earlier this offseason.

Raiche joins a Browns' front office, including general manager Andrew Berry, a former VP with the Eagles. Raiche and Berry both worked for Philadelphia in 2019.

For the Eagles, this is another loss to its front office, as Raiche joins Ian Cunningham and Brandon Brown as offseason departures for the organization. Cunningham was hired as the assistant general manager with the Chicago Bears, while Brown took the same job with the New York Giants.
