Browns list 20 players on injury report ahead of Broncos game

The Cleveland Browns find themselves in a "no rest for the weary" situation coming off Sunday's 37-14 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals that dropped them to 3-3 on what could soon become a disappointing season, as they will be back at it Thursday night when they host the 3-3 Denver Broncos.

As Josh Alper noted for Pro Football Talk, the Browns didn’t practice Monday and currently have 20 players on their injury report. 10 of those would have been non-participants had the club taken the practice field:

Earlier in the day, Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that running back Kareem Hunt (calf) and rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (ankle) won't be available against the Broncos and will miss significant time due to the injuries they suffered Sunday. It's been reported the pair could be sidelined from four to six weeks.

Additionally, starting quarterback Baker Mayfield re-dislocated his left (non-throwing) shoulder and had an MRI Monday that will help determine his status for Thursday's game. Mayfield told reporters Sunday he is "absolutely" starting against Denver, but Stefanski was non-committal on his signal-caller's status three days before the contest.

Backup Case Keenum would've taken first-team reps had the Browns practiced Monday, and the update offered by Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com suggests Keenum will start at least Thursday's matchup.
