Cleveland Browns offense just took a major hit following a win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Running back Jerome Ford is going to miss up to a couple of weeks with an ankle sprain, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Ford had a 66-yard touchdown against the Colts but finished with just 74 yards on 11 rushes. Running back Kareem Hunt had 10 runs himself for 31 yards. As of right now, it is going to be Hunt taking a boatload of the the usage with Pierre Strong Jr. behind him.

On the season, Ford has 344 rushing yards at a clip of 4.4 yards a carry. The second year running back has two rushing touchdowns and two on the receiving end. Cleveland’s next two opponents are the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals.

Cleveland is already missing Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb for the season with a significant knee injury. Chubb has been out since Week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team cut Deon Jackson from the roster today.

It’s an injury that is not ideal timing for the Browns, as they’re dealing with uncertainty around the quarterback position.
