Browns' Myles Garrett 'grateful to be here' after car wreck

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett said on Friday that he is "grateful to be here" after being involved in a single car accident earlier this week that saw his Porsche flip multiple times.

Garrett and another passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries in the wreck, while he was released from the hospital Monday night.

He was meeting with the media on Friday for the first time since the accident and said, "From what I saw right after, the pictures, it was a hell of an event."

Garrett was ticketed for driving at an unsafe speed and was found to have collected a significant number of speeding tickets in Ohio since being drafted by the Browns. He said the accident was a call to be more safe with his driving in the future.

Garrett's status for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons remains unknown at this point. Officially, he is questionable on the injured list with shoulder and biceps injuries. He said if it was up to him he would love to play, but that it will be determined by the team's medical staff over the next 24 hours. Cleveland's other key edge rusher, Jadeveon Clowney, is also questionable for Sunday's game.

Neither player practiced on Friday, which makes it seem unlikely they will be available. Kickoff for their game is at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
