Browns' Myles Garrett injured on obstacle course at Pro Bowl Games

This season the NFL launched a reimagined Pro Bowl, hoping to grow player engagement while making the annual all-star contest a bit safer and more fun.

Unfortunately, the toned-down format didn't make players immune to injury, as the revamped Pro Bowl Games produced its first victim on Sunday, Cleveland Browns standout defensive end Myles Garrett.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Garrett suffered a dislocated toe, though X-rays were negative.

While the preliminary exams off Garrett's toe checked out okay, Camyrn Justice of News 5 in Cleveland says the "full extent" of the injury remains unknown and that Garrett will undergo more tests.

Garrett sustained the injury going through the Pro Bowl obstacle course, which is sure to make Browns fans happy.

Luckily for Garrett, his injured toe isn't likely to keep him from being ready for training camp. But, it will raise questions about whether or not having a Pro Bowl event is worth players risking injury by climbing up a wall.

The 27-year-old had another remarkable season as one of the leaders of the Browns' defensive line. In 16 games, Garrett tied his career-high in sacks (16), recording 60 tackles (18 for loss), 26 QB hits, and two forced fumbles.

Since the 2021 season, no player has more sacks than Garrett (playoffs included), with 45, followed closely by Pittsburgh Steelers' T.J. Watt (44) and Philadelphia Eagles' Haason Reddick (43).
