Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has had enough of Hue Jackson’s allegations.

Jackson responded on Twitter this week to Brian Flores’ lawsuit alleging racial discrimination and that he was offered money by the Miami Dolphins owner to lose games during the 2019 season. Jackson hinted that the Browns rewarded him for losing during his tenure as their head coach.

Haslam flat-out denied Jackson’s allegations and then took things a step further. He fired a shot at Jackson for constantly passing the buck.

“Hue Jackson has never ever accepted any responsibility for our record during that time period,” Haslam said in an interview with Knox News. “He’s been masterful at pointing fingers but has never accepted any blame. I have accepted a ton of blame, and rightfully so.

“There are a lot of things I could’ve done better. Hue has never accepted blame for one thing.”

That is true.

Since being fired by the Browns during the 2018 season, Jackson has done nothing but talk negatively about the Browns and about how he wanted things to be different. Jackson talked about how he wanted Colin Kaepernick, how he was the hero of the 2017 draft and how he was fired too early. Jackson went 3-36-1 in 2-plus seasons as the team’s head coach.

Jackson has claimed for over a year that he was lied to and misled by the Browns when he took the job. It’s possible — and quite likely — that the truth is somewhere in between what Jackson says and what the Browns argue. But what there is no debate over is two things: the Browns were better without Jackson, and Jackson is not taking any responsibility.
