Browns QB Baker Mayfield, coach Kevin Stefanski test positive for COVID-19
The Cleveland Browns' upcoming game was already in jeopardy with a COVID-19 outbreak hitting the locker room earlier this week.
The likelihood of that game taking place was pushed to the limits early Wednesday, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is the latest to test positive for the virus.
ESPN added that head coach Kevin Stefanski and cornerback Troy Hill have also tested positive and will be added to the COVID/Reserve list.
Cleveland had already placed eight players on the COVID list on Tuesday. According to ESPN, all eight of those players are vaccinated.
There is no word yet as to whether the Browns' Saturday matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders will be postponed. Granted, all parties still have time to produce two negative tests to be cleared to play. That being said, the large number of cases is definitely concerning.
