Browns re-signing S Ronnie Harrison on one-year deal

The Cleveland Browns were arguably the NFL's biggest movers and shakers of March, as they placed the franchise tag on tight end David Njoku, traded for star wide receiver Amari Cooper and then acquired quarterback Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans in the most controversial league transaction thus far completed this offseason. 

Cleveland retained one of its own ahead of the weekend. 

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN and Dan Labbe of Cleveland.com, veteran safety Ronnie Harrison is signing a one-year contract to remain with the Browns for the 2022 season. Financial details of the deal weren't known as of late Friday afternoon. 

Harrison, who turns 25 years old on April 18, first entered the NFL when the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted him in the third round back in 2018. Jacksonville traded him to Cleveland in 2020, and he became a solid member of the Browns' secondary but was allowed to explore free agency when the new NFL year opened in March. 

In all, Harrison has recorded 96 total tackles, two interceptions (including one taken to the house for a touchdown), two sacks and a fumble recovery across 23 regular-season games and 18 starts during his Cleveland tenure.
