Browns receive A+ grade for free-agent signing

The Browns have made a few signings in free agency thus far. However, one seems to stand out from the rest and Pro Football Focus believes it's one of the best of the offseason.

Cleveland signed DT Dalvin Tomlinson to a four-year, $57 million contract last week and PFF gave the team an A+ for the move.

Tomlinson had 42 tackles, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 2022 while still missing four games. He should take care of business on the interior of the Browns' defensive line standing at 6-foot-3, 325 pounds.

The move got an A+ from PFF for a reason. Cleveland didn't have a player with more than three sacks outside of DE Myles Garrett in 2022.

The former second-round pick should provide more splash for the Browns in 2023 as well as taking away some pressure from Garrett, which may just lead to Garrett's first Defensive Player of the Year award.

The only downside to the move is that Tomlinson is 29. He still has good football left in him, but he is certainly on the back half of his career and Cleveland is hoping it can squeeze out whatever good play he has left in him.
