No one ignores the reality that Myles Garrett is a game-wrecker.
He has been awarded for his on-field play in the 2023 season thoroughly. Garrett was named to his third All-Pro team.
But on Thursday, Garrett claimed The Sporting News' Defensive Player of the Year award. He was also selected for the Sporting News 2023 NFL All-Pro Team. He was the only Browns player named to the All-Pro Team.
Garrett's greatness is a known commodity. He claimed 14 sacks during the season, a team-high.
He also claimed 42 tackles – with 33 solo tackles – 17 tackles for loss, 30 quarterback hits and three passes defended.
The Sporting News' awards were voted on by peers from around the league.
It is the respect shown by those around him that proves Garrett is simply a cut above the rest.
