In free agency, the Cleveland Browns watched their second right end Harrison Bryant sign with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Cleveland very well could be eyeing his replacement in the draft and they’re visiting with one of the top tight ends that will hear his name called. Texas TE Ja’Tavion Sanders is a force to be reckoned with.

What Ja’Tavion Sanders offers the Cleveland Browns

Pairing a player like Sanders with David Njoku would be an offensive coordinator's dream. Sanders is a vertical threat at 6-foot-4 and does a great job of high-pointing the ball when he goes up. The Texas tight end is a mover at his size and his 4.6 speed was a problem for linebackers to keep up with in college.

Sanders is a good blocker and that will be important when replacing Bryant, who was a blocker before pass catcher. In terms of production, Sanders cleared 600 receiving yards each of the last two seasons with the Longhorns.

After the catch is where Sanders makes his money and he’s trouble to bring down once he gets loose. Two tight end sets for the Browns could be quite scary for defensive coordinators.

While Brock Bowers may be the prized tight end of the class rightfully so, Sanders is not a bad consolation prize in the second round. If Cleveland is blown away in their meeting, they may have to trade up from pick 54 to get Sanders.
