It's been an eventful week for the Browns wide receiver room.

At Tuesday's trade deadline general manager Andrew Berry struck a deal with the Detroit Lions to send 2020 sixth-round pick, Donovan Peoples-Jones to his hometown team. In the aftermath of the move, People-Joens former teammates and coaches spent the week explaining how that void in the wide receiver room would be filled.

Option one, was 10-year veteran Marquise Goodwin. Unfortunately, Goodwin saw his day against the Arizona Cardinals cut short after a hard hit, early in the third quarter. He's been ruled out for the game after going through a concussion check.

Quarterback, Deshaun Watson looked for the speedy wideout on a deep route down the middle of the field. It was a tight window throw, with safety help over the top for Arizona. Goodwin turned around to high point the ball, got his hands on it for a moment but took a hard hit to the head from safety Andre Chachere and was slow to get up.

Eventually, Goodwin was able to rise to his feet, but was noticeably woozy as he walked with trainers off the field. The 32-year-old didn't even stop at the sideline or make an appearance in the team's blue, pop-up tent, instead heading straight to the locker room after the play.

On the season, Goodwin has hauled in just three catches for 10 yards this season. He's also amassed 33 yards rushing on four carries for the Browns this year. Those totals were expected to see an uptick, however, with Peoples-Jones out of the picture.
