Bruce Arians: Tom Brady 'picks all the plays now' for Buccaneers

Buccaneers owner Joel Glazer might as well name Tom Brady general manager of the organization because he's calling all the shots in Tampa Bay.

Brady convinced the organization to bring in tight end Rob Gronkowski, even though he had been out of the league for one year before returning. The six-time Super Bowl champion also played a role in getting the Bucs to sign troubled wide receiver Antonio Brown despite head coach Bruce Arians previously saying it would never happen.

Apparently, Brady isn't just making personnel decisions. He's also calling the plays. According to Michael Silver of Sports Illustrated, Arians admitted that the Bucs call what plays Brady picks.

Arians could be allowing Brady to call the plays in an effort to make him more comfortable with the offense. However, it's worth noting that Brady's play-calling might actually be more of a detriment to the team than an asset.

The Bucs are now 7-5 on the season after a 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. This comes after Brady and the Bucs were blown out by the New Orleans Saints a few weeks ago, and the play-calling in that game was pretty poor.

Brady certainly hasn't played his best football this season, and it's imperative that Arians help iron out the team's difficulties on offense, or they'll be in danger of missing the playoffs.
