Bruce Arians wants NFL to examine more COVID-19 vaccination statuses?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians didn't hide that he was annoyed about having to speak with reporters on Friday about star wide receiver Antonio Brown and safety Mike Edwards earning three-game suspensions after the NFL determined they misrepresented their COVID-19 vaccination statuses by providing fake cards.

Per Jenna Laine of ESPN, Arians added he hopes the NFL will examine other teams to see if opposing players are guilty of committing similar violations of health and safety protocols agreed upon by the league and NFL Players Association before the start of the season.

"We've done everything. There's a lot more to that story. I just hope they don't stop looking," Arians remarked.

Arians was asked if he believes this is a league-wide issue not just related to the Buccaneers ahead of Christmas.

"Maybe," he responded.

Whatever Arians may or may not know about what's happening around the league aside, all should remember that the NFL didn't simply target the Buccaneers for no reason. Steven Ruiz, Brown's former live-in chef, outed the receiver and, apparently, at least two other individuals. Had no story emerged last month disputing Brown's vaccination status, the NFL would've had no reason to question anybody linked with the Buccaneers.

The NFL also suspended free-agent receiver John Franklin III on Thursday. Tampa Bay waived him in August.

In reality, Arians has three specific people to blame for Thursday's developments. Whether or not the two still with the Buccaneers are punished further by the organization likely won't be known until they complete their bans through Week 15 of the season.
