Buccaneers bring pets to Miami amid Hurricane Ian, LB Devin White forced to leave horses behind

The NFL is still considering their options on how to handle the scheduled Week 4 "Sunday Night Football" contest between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, currently slated to take place in Tampa Bay. It was reported on Tuesday that the league could wait until as late as Friday to make a call on the clash, but the Bucs have already started making adjustments, moving their midweek practices to the Miami Dolphins' facility due to Hurricane Ian.

That's not the only major alteration members of the Buccaneers organization have had to make. Head coach Todd Bowles told reporters via Zoom on Wednesday that they've made sure coaches, players and staff were able to bring family and pets with them to Miami so that "everyone felt safe in the storm," per NFL Network's Sara Walsh.

While some Tampa Bay players may have taken up the offer of bringing their pets on an impromptu trip, one guy who was unable to do so was Pro Bowl linebacker Devin White.

White has spent his entire three-plus season career with the Buccaneers after being selected fifth overall by the franchise in the 2019 NFL Draft. The 24-year-old leads all Tampa Bay players this season in combined tackles (24) and sacks (3.0) among other categories.
