Buccaneers' Tom Brady misses practice with right shoulder, right finger injuries

While it was previously learned that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady wasn't practicing Wednesday coming off the "Sunday Night Football" loss to the Kansas City Chiefs that dropped the Bucs to 2-2 on the season, it was unclear if Brady was merely enjoying a scheduled maintenance day off or if something was bothering him ahead of this Sunday's home game against the 2-2 Atlanta Falcons.

The Buccaneers have since offered an update on the situation that will likely worry some Tampa Bay fans.

Per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, the Buccaneers confirmed that Brady officially missed practice due to right finger and right shoulder injuries.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion initially hurt the ring finger on his throwing hand during the Week 2 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 18, and he suffered what's been called "a little rotator cuff" issue against the Chiefs. Unsurprisingly, the 45-year-old hasn't yet missed an in-game snap due to either problem.

Nevertheless, this development is yet the latest twist in the Brady saga that's included reports saying he and wife Gisele Bundchen have hired divorce attorneys amid rumors about their alleged marital issues and also the Wednesday retirement of wide receiver Cole Beasley just a couple of weeks after Beasley joined the Buccaneers.

One assumes the G.O.A.T. will take the field against Atlanta, but 2022 has shown that outsiders shouldn't take anything for granted regarding Brady's status these days.
