The Buffalo Bills are in need of help at the safety position.

Even after signing Mike Edwards from the Kansas City Chiefs, and re-signing Taylor Rapp, Buffalo would be wells suited to add another starter, while Rapp becomes a rotational piece, similar to what he was a season ago.

One of the best remaining free agents at the position was Julian Blackmon, whom the Bills brought in for a visit, but he left without a contract. Now, it's confirmed the Bills won't be adding the dynamic young safety after all.

Blackmon is re-signing with the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year deal, per Jordan Schultz.

Blackmon had a very productive 2023 season, being credited with 30 defensive stops and allowing a passer rating of only 57.5 while picking off four passes.

Other veterans remaining on the market include Justin Simmons, Eddie Jackson, Quandre Diggs, Tracy Walker, and Jamal Adams. I would expect the Bills to add one more safety, and won't be surprised if it is one of the aforementioned names.
