In a move that bolsters their offensive line depth, the Buffalo Bills have signed center/guard Will Clapp to a one-year contract. Clapp brings versatility and experience to the Bills’ front, having played significant snaps in both the guard and center roles.

Clapp’s journey in the NFL has been one of resilience and adaptability. Drafted in the seventh round by the New Orleans Saints in 2018, he has carved out a role for himself as a reliable backup and spot starter.

His tenure with the Saints showcased his ability to step up when called upon, and he’ll bring that same tenacity to Buffalo.

After joining the Chargers, Clapp appeared in all 18 games, including the postseason, and made three starts at center during the 2022 season.

His contributions were significant for a team that ranked No. 3 in the NFL in passing offense, averaging 269.6 net pass yards per game

The Bills are getting more than just an offensive lineman in Clapp; they’re getting a player with a team-first mentality, ready to contribute wherever needed.

His signing may not grab headlines, but for those who understand the trenches’ importance, Clapp’s addition is a very solid move by Brandon Beane and the Bills’ front office.

As the Buffalo Bills get ready for another run at Super Bowl, Clapp’s presence provides insurance and flexibility along the offensive line. It’s these kinds of under-the-radar signings that often make the difference in the long, grueling NFL season.
